Elizabeth Henderson of Arbuckle, CA, passed away on November 22, 2017, at the age of 92. She was born in Orangevale, CA, on December 27, 1924, and was one of seven children born to William and Aris Moeszinger.
Elizabeth married Robert Henderson in 1946, and they started their life together in Arbuckle after honeymooning at the Arbuckle Hotel. Robert ran the 76 Gas Station across the street from the hotel for several years. They left Arbuckle and returned in 1961, when Robert began farming.
Elizabeth (Liz) worked for Bank of America for 31 years as a teller and a loan officer. Among her many passions were gardening, reading, traveling, refinishing furniture and most importantly spending time with her family and extended family.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Gail Dawley (Douglas) of Arbuckle, CA, Jane Watson of Woodland, CA, son Gary Henderson (Lorilee) of Arbuckle, CA, brother Phil Moeszinger of Folsom, CA, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Robert Henderson, daughter Linda Meyer, son-in-laws John Watson, James Meyer, Gerald Hobbs and grandson Joseph Meyer.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service December 2, at 10:00 AM, at the Arbuckle Community Church, 700 Hillgate Road, Arbuckle, CA
