Steven Cordell Harbison passed away on September 28, 2017 at his home in El Dorado Hills California following a two year battle with colon cancer. Steve was born March 18, 1950 in Colusa, California to Byron and Zelda Harbison. He attended Colusa High School and graduated in 1969. He was very active in football, basketball and track and field in high school and his friends called him “Harv”, a nickname that stuck with him throughout his life. In High School he began dating the love of his life, Rozanne Sciortino, and married her in 1970. They celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary two days before he passed.
Steve began working in the wholesale plumbing business and moved from Colusa to El Dorado Hills in 1985 where he and Rozanne raised their family. He was a manager in the wholesale plumbing business for the last 30 years.
Steve was interested in all things and was busy all the time. He especially enjoyed camping, fishing, golf, travel, restoring old cars and really had a love for building houses. He could build or do anything he set his mind to and was very good at it. Family and friends were a top priority for Steve and he enjoyed entertaining them at their home or their cabin in Butte Meadows.
Steven is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Rozanne Harbison of El Dorado Hills, CA, his son Christopher and wife Sabrina of Placerville, CA, his daughter Alicia of El Dorado Hills, Ca. His mother, Zelda Harbison of Yuba City, CA, brother, Robert Harbison and wife Vicky of Yuba City, Ca and sister, Lynda Verstelle and husband Bill of Yuba City, CA. Steve has five nephews and one niece. He was preceeded in death by his father, Byron Elliott Harbison.
Services will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at McNary Moore Chapel, 107 5th St Colusa, CA followed by a committal service at the Colusa Cementery, 1976 Wilson Ave, Colusa, CA Contributions may be made in Steven’s name to the American Cancer Society.
