George Robert “Bob” Bell passed away peacefully in Yuba City on February 25, 2020. Bob was born in Council Bluffs, IA on March 18, 1935 to George and Dorothy Bell. He was a 72-year resident of Colusa County enjoying many of the hobbies and events the county is famous for. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed camping and trips to Fort Bragg. He was a member of the NRA and the Colusa Shooting Club and was a volunteer on the Colusa City Fire Department.
Bob was married for 64-years to the love of his life, JoAnne and will be missed by his friends and family. Bob was pre-deceased by his son Douglas Bell and is survived by his wife JoAnne of Colusa, a daughter and son, Cynthia (Ray) Scott of Placerville and Chris Bell and his fiancée Karin of Yuba City; a sister and brother, Carole (Daryl) Brown of Colusa and Douglas (Patti) Bell of Oroville. He also leaves eight grandchildren, Evan Bell, Jordan Bell, Graeson Bell, Justin Bell, Taylor Bell, Desaray Reeves, RJ Scott, Alex Scott; and three great grandchildren, Deakin Bell, Cypress Bell and Braxley Bell.
Private family services were held. The family requests memorial contributions in Bob’s name be made the Colusa City Fire Department 750 Market Street, Colusa, CA 95932.
