Tribute

Linda Michele Angerer passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on May 28 2020, after a determined battle with cancer. Born Linda Tatum in Placerville, CA on November 30, 1960, she was one of three children born to Gerald and Gladness Tatum. Linda was a Wildlife Biologist for the U.S. Forest Service for 40 years, starting on the Eldorado National Forest and then on the Mendocino National Forest for the last 27 years, sharing her love of bats as the Region 5 Bat Coordinator. She married the love of her life, Stuart Angerer, in 1994. The two enjoyed 26-years of marriage where they loved adventure, traveling and birding all over the Southwest and Central and South America. Linda loved animals and was a falconer and was fond of riding horses. Linda was active in her community and gave generously of her time. She was a member and Sunday School Teacher at Grimes Community Church, a life member of the El Dorado County Search and Rescue, and enjoyed mission trips to Central America and Haiti with Living Water International to provide new wells to insure clean water for remote communities.

Linda’s loving and generous presence are deeply missed by her husband, Stuart Angerer of Grimes; her mother, Gladness Tatum of Placerville, CA; a brother, Hardie Tatum of Placerville, and a sister, Vicki Hubach of Pine Grove, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
