Maria Luisa Ramirez-Torres passed away unexpectedly in San Francisco on March 4, 2020. Maria was born to Jose and Enedina Torres in Michoacan Mexico on October 19, 1949. She was a lifelong resident of Colusa County, she married Guillermo Ramirez and they enjoyed 38 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2011. Maria was a daycare provider for 11 years and would spend hours in her garden and had a passion for cooking. Her greatest passion was for her family of which she had a large and loving one. Along with her parents and her husband, Maria was predeceased by two brothers, Nicholas and Roberto Torres. She will be deeply missed by her children, Esmeralda (Jose) Gil of Colusa, Guillermo Jr. (Stefanie) Ramirez of Yuba City, Jaime (Christina) Ramirez of Colusa, Erica (Jesus) Solorio of Colusa and Veronica (Salvador) Lara of Colusa; 14 grandchildren, Yessenia, Vyvianna, Julian, Destiny, Julian, Gianna, Leah, Lexi, Jesus Jr., Adamariz, Salvador III, Maggie Sofya and Giovanny. Maria also leaves her brothers and sisters, Ignacio Torres, Manuel Torres, Josefina Torres, Bertha Torres, Lupe Torres, Esther Torres and Jose Luis Torres.
A Rosary will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2020, 7:00 p.m. followed by a visitation from 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Oak and 4th Street Colusa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1741 Wescott Road, Colusa.
